Signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between PDDRC & School of Nursing & Midwifery of IUMS

After holding joint meetings along with participation of researchers from Poursina Hakim Digestive Diseases Research Center and School of Nursing & Midwifery of IUMS, 7 research groups were established:

•           Standardization and Quality Improvement of Digestive Diseases Services
•           Digestive Diseases Education
•           Lifestyle and Digestive Diseases
•           Economic Burden of Digestive Diseases
•           Complementary and Alternative Medicine for Gastrointestinal Disorders
•           Geriatric Gastroenterology
•           Environmental Factors Contributing to Digestive Diseases

Digestive Diseases Research Center (DDRC) is an affiliated research center to Poursina Hakim Institute, a private organization for health promotion, patient care, research and education in biomedical sciences in the field of gastrointestinal diseases. Research activities have begun since 2000, just at the same time that Poursina Hakim Institute initiated its activity leading to establishment of Poursina Hakim Research Center in 2008. The institute including the research center was finally approved by the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education as DDRC in 2015. Our research team is comprised of researchers in different fields including medicine, pharmacy, microbiology, pathology, statistics, etc. with the goal to translate research from bench- to-bedside benefiting mankind.
